Tom Ford Launches E-Commerce

Our jaws routinely hit the ground each time Tom Ford’s Instagram posts a new photo. Each image is sexier than the last, never failing to remind us of the brand's DNA: sexy and strong.
Their latest digital venture is even bigger. Yesterday, the brand launched e-commerce, which means I can finally order my Shanghai Lily Private Blend straight from house that makes it. Whew.

“I have waited patiently to introduce e-commerce until I felt the foundation of the brand was well established offline. We now have 98 retail locations worldwide and the online store is an extension of them: It is a beautiful online space that carries exceptionally crafted, hand-made products and offers superlative service,” Ford said of the launch.

And while some may have been frustrated that they couldn’t purchase their coveted Tom Ford goodies online until now, we think it was well worth the wait.
The photography alone seems game changing in the world of e-commerce, especially when it comes to beauty. The ability to zoom in so closely to eye shadows and blushes makes choosing the wrong color seem nearly impossible.

The lips section is the best treat of the site. Hover over certain colors (my favorite is Indian Rose) and a mesmerizing GIF appears of a woman biting her lip. How enticing? How Tom Ford!

Interspersed throughout all sections are the stunning images that are undeniably Tom Ford, making the shopping experience feel seamless, sexy, and editorial.
And speaking of editorial, the site has a news section to keep you up-to-date on all the goings-on of the brand (i.e. every time Queen Bey wears that Tom Ford sparkly jersey).

Other features we love? (And yes, there are things other than the male models that we love.) Much like industry favorite retailer Net-A-Porter.com, the site offers same-day delivery in Manhattan, and complimentary shipping and returns. And soon, shoppers will be able to order whatever they want and pick it up in store, should that be their preference. Talk about customer service.
Now, if I only I could decide which Natalia bag I wanted…
